The Facilities

Walkabout Farm is a 44 acre farm with 25 acres in permanent pasture. A modern twelve-stall barn was designed and built with safety and comfort in mind. 

For The Rider...

  • Full–sized (120’x240’) arena with lights, jumps, cavaletti, cones, and other training aids are available for your convenience

  • Quiet, level, fenced grassy paddock maintained with an arena marked and a full assortment of obstacles for trail obstacle training

  • Individual tack storage for each rider

  • Toilet area, washing machine, refrigerator, and trailer parker are provided for rider use

  • Plenty of cross ties throughout the barn so there’s always an accessible place to tie your horse

  • Individual supervision for your horse, at no charge, during regularly scheduled farrier and veterinary visits

For the Horse...

  • Only twelve stalls are available to ensure that each horse is cared for and known as an individual

  • Each 12x12 stall has an individual watering system, feeder and lights.

  • Wash stalls with hot and cold water.

  • High-quality grain and hays

  • Daily turnout is available for all horses

  • Organic insect control so your horse is never doused with chemicals

  • Owners live on the property, with a clear view of the barn and pastures from the house. This provides each horse with experienced care and excellent security.

Independent adult riders have a real home here!

Walkabout Farm is a no-drama barn. Our facility is best-suited for comfortable, experienced riders who want top-qulaity care for their horses and a decent, uncrowded place to ride.
